When Wendel’s Home & Design joined the Art Van Furniture family in 2016, the independently owned franchise had proudly been serving Northern and Central Michigan communities for 40 years. As part of the Art Van Furniture family, Wendel’s son David Lee—alongside wife Lisa and son Taylor— dedicated themselves to providing home and design services that inspired and fulfilled dreams.
Now, joined with the Big Sandy Superstore family, Lee is proud to continue his long legacy of service with the same passion to change the lives of families all over Haring Charter Township.

Van Hoose Sr., who, just out of the Air Force in 1963, founded Big Sandy with a $1000 loan from his wife, Lorna.
