Our Hutson’s store has always been dedicated to treating our customers like family. From viewings in our 37,000 sq. ft. showroom to home deliveries, we’ve always made sure to go the extra mile for our customers.

A Brief History

After WWII in 1945, Glenn and Lynn Hutson pooled their resources together to start a furniture store, back on Broadway and Main St. in downtown. Then somewhere in 1958 we moved our roots to an old car garage on South Main St.—which is where we’ve been ever since.

Family owned since the beginning, we’ve always upheld a strong foundation of family values, no matter what changes came our way. Whether that meant putting temporary planks over our flooded first floor in 1953, to temporarily dipping our toes into the gumball vending machine business, we persevered with pride.

As the retail industry changed, the Hutson family knew they had to adapt in order to stay competitive and to give customers the best product for the best price. A partnership with Art Van Furniture, a family-owned company that held the same values our family does, was what took us to the next level.

Big Changes— For the BetterNow after saying goodbye to the Art Van family, our store is equally proud to become a part of the Big Sandy Superstore family. You can still count on us for quality products that last.
