Throughout the many changes over the years (we used to sell appliances!), we’ve made it a point to be your go-to furniture and mattress store. As the retail industry changed, we knew we had to adapt in order to stay competitive and to give customers the best product for the best price. A partnership with Art Van Furniture, a family-owned company that held the same values our family does, was what took us to the next level.

After bidding a fond farewell to the Art Van family, we are excited to deliver even more customer satisfaction—as part of the Big Sandy Superstore family. Founded in 1953 by Robert W. Van Hoose Sr., with a $1000 loan from his wife Lorna, Big Sandy Superstore has been servicing customers with an award-winning commitment to excellence. We are enthusiastic about this partnership and can’t wait to keep bringing you unbeatable deals on quality products.
In our 22,000 sq. ft. showroom—still located near the flowing Shiawassee River—we promise to continue to serve Owosso, Corunna, Flint, Lansing, Perry, Durand, St. Johns, and Chesaning with the same dedication you’re used to. We love being your one-stop furniture and mattress store!.
