WHAT IS TWO PEAS IN A BLOG?
Along with creating new content, sharing fashion trends and style ideas, we are both Moms who understand the importance of effortless style. We enjoy motivating everyday women and the modern mom by showing them that there is no need to sacrifice style for a busy life.
THE PROJECT
We are redecorating 2 bedrooms. An upscale boys room for our 13 year son and an updated “older” girls room for our 7 year old daughter. We wanted to give them something that will grow with them and allow them to decorate as they wish through the years.
MEET KATEY
I am a busy Mom, twin and entrepreneur who could eat peanut butter and jelly everyday - especially on a toasted English muffin. I layer a white tank top under almost everything. I don't like leftovers. I am very claustrophobic. I am addicted to chapstick. I drink a glass (or two) of red wine almost every night.
UPSCALE TRANSITIONAL BOYS ROOMThe Challenge: our son is 13 and moving into a new bedroom. We wanted to give him a more upscale boys rooms. He loves sports and plays basketball and baseball so we chose decor pieces to showcase that. The Liberty Road Sonoma is the perfect fit as the metal detailing adds a touch of ruggedness to his room.
GIRLS TWEEN TO TEEN ROOMThe challenge: our daughter is 7 and needed an updated "older" girls room. We wanted to be sure it was a room that would grow with her and last, design wise, even through her teen years. The Magnussen Paxton Place arched bed is perfect! The curved headboard adds that girly touch while the overall design of the bedroom set is classic. We loved the grey and know it will go with whatever decor she may use of the years.
KATEY'S PICKSI love finding furniture that has a classic feel but with trendy details. For example, an accent table or cabinet in a fun color such as teal or grey instead of the standard wood color or an accent chair in a fun fabric.
