The L-shaped desk from the Hammond® collection features a durable 1” thick, spacious top surface with room for your computer, binders, paper, and of course, photos of your loved ones. With functionality in mind, this home office desk features a slide-out keyboard/mouse shelf with metal runners and safety stops so your top surface can remain clutter free. The left side of this L-shaped office desk features three drawers, all with full extension slides. The lower drawer holds letter or legal-size hanging files, thus keeping your documents organized and easy to find. On the right side of this wood computer desk, a storage area behind a door features an adjustable shelf to accommodate items of various heights as well as a designated space for a vertical CPU tower. This desk is finished on all sides for versatile placement in your home, so it looks good from every angle! Featuring cord management with a desktop grommet, your workspace remains cord and clutter free. In 1934, Erie Sauder started a woodworking business in a barn behind his home in Archbold, Ohio. Originally a builder of custom cabinetry and church pews, he began crafting small occasional tables from the fine, leftover wood. In 1940, the workmanship of these tables eventually inspired a traveling salesman to place an astounding order of 25,000 — a seemingly impossible purchase order for a budding company. But with a little ingenuity and a lot of determination, Sauder Woodworking Co. grew and flourished. Fast forward to 1953 for Sauder to find the answer to its calling — a patented table that could be assembled at home. And it was this snap-together table that marked the beginning of the ready-to-assemble furniture industry.

Sauder Woodworking Co. is North America’s leading producer of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and one of the top five residential furniture manufacturers in the United States. An authentic American original, 90 percent of Sauder® furniture is manufactured in Archbold, Ohio — right where we were founded in 1934. Although the town is small (pop. 4,300), our facility is expansive.
